The creative activities will seek to familiarize children and parents to an urban area designate to accommodate residential and working needs, in a period of Athens’ rapid expansion. Also, memories of how people used to live will be brought to life by workshops in photography and collage techniques, puppet theatre performances and storytelling. On Sunday 2 October 2011, the creative activities will return home to the Museum and the elegant neoclassical premises of the Stathatos Mansion.

11.30, 6 Paramythias (map location 24)
Frown Tails Performances & Workshops
Children’s community workshops
Theme: My neighborhood
Project description: Εvery Sunday at 11.30 the children embroider the map of their own colorful neighborhood.
Leaders: Maria Varela, Marianna Christofi

+

18.00, 6 Paramythias (map location 24)
Community workshops in collaboration with elderly residents of the KM area
Theme: Mathe tehni k astina / Forgotten crafts: An elderly local specialized in a forgotten craft shares secrets with his guests.
Project description: Every Sunday at 18:00 an elder resident of the area, specialized on a certain old-fashioned craft will be invited to lead a workshop.
Leaders: Maria Varela, Marianna Christofi and guest

20:30, 10 Giatrakou (map location 28)
Galerie Utopia/ The Forgotten Bar Project, Berlin/ Athens
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Alexandros Tzannis, Giannis Ganas, Maria Kaxramanoglou, Sifis Lykakis, Kallina Maiopoulou, Leonidas Papadopoulos
Opening October 6, 8.30 pm,

Bar open until midnight
October 7 – October 14

20:30, 6 Paramythias (map location 24)
Frown Tails Performances & Workshops
Afroditi Psarra, Red Dot, 2011.
